Before the competition kicks off, we'll walk everyone through the fundamentals: how to frost a cake smoothly, pipe clean borders and designs, and add finishing touches that actually look intentional. You'll practice the techniques, find your footing, and then — when everyone's ready — the real fun begins. A surprise decorating theme is revealed, the clock starts, and it's every baker for themselves. Bold color choices, ambitious piping, questionable design decisions, and over-the-top sprinkle situations are all highly encouraged. At the end of the night, the cakes are judged, a winner is crowned, and everyone goes home with their creation, a new set of decorating skills, and a story worth telling.
