Some evenings are just dinners. This is not one of those evenings. Tonight, The Culinary Center of Kansas City transforms into an intimate pop-up restaurant for one of our most celebrated Chef's Table events — a seven-course Italian demonstration dinner where all you have to do is pull up a chair and let our Chef do the cooking. This is an exclusive, limited-seat evening designed to transport you straight to Italy, one course at a time. The evening unfolds course by course, beginning with Ricotta Crostini with Fried Cherry Tomatoes and a stunning Finocchio & Beet Salad before moving into a soul-warming Ribollita — the classic Tuscan bread soup that has been feeding Italians through cold winters for centuries. From there, a luxurious Pasta Pistacchi e Pancetta sets the stage for the centerpiece: Braised Short Ribs served over velvety Creamy Polenta, rich and deeply satisfying in the way that only a long-cooked Italian main course can be. The evening closes as all great Italian meals should — slowly, sweetly, and with intention. A No-Churn Lemon Gelato and a Limoncello Tiramisu arrive as the grand finale, followed by a pour of a Limoncello Digestivo drink to raise a glass to the evening. This is "la dolce vita" — the sweet life — and tonight, it's right here in Kansas City. Salute!
